Data and organizing are inextricably linked. What better way to show the collective impact of certain policies than to use data.
On Monday, August 4th 2014, the Pastor of Our Lady of Refuge Church, Vicar of the Northwest Bronx, and longtime Bronx housing and community activist, Msgr. John Jenik was ordained as the Auxiliary Bishop of New York in Saint Patrick’s Cathedral.
Even as we marked our 30th anniversary in 2013, much of our work continues to address the lasting impact of redlining, disinvestment and speculation in the Bronx. In the past two years, UNHP has made significant strides in our work to identify and improve distressed multifamily housing and bring needed resources to the Northwest Bronx.
